This place is the pits. My egg foo young looked like an overcooked chicken cutlet, covered in the saddest gravy. I have tried this place a few times and, I am always sad I did. There was a table tent saying they have free wifi but the server didnt have the password so, they dont really have free wifi.

All of our fave Chinese places are out of town so we decided to pick a local favorite. I had a hunch looking at the outside this would not be it. But, still I went in. The waitresses called in sick so they got the bartender and her relative to fill in. The relative had no idea (of course) what she was doing and ordered me the wrong dishes. Got the food home (I didn't want to sit in there). I've had better Chinese from a mall. The food lacked flavor. At least it wasn't greasy. The portion sizes were great. Too bad we didn't want to finish it. I'll forever skip this place.

Been going here since 1977. When smoking was allowed, it always smelled like smoke. Now it is great. There is plenty of food and their dishes included a lot of meat instead of just a piece or two as most places I have been. We also really enjoy the shrimp. I compare New China with every Chinese place we go to and have not found better.

This place is a dive but I gotta say the food was actually good. When I decided to stop it was just to get some take out and I ordered a drink while I waited. When I got my drink I just though "holy shit" it was so strong (well worth ordering lol). The bartender was friendly too. Looks can be deceiving.I will be going back.

We were just in Oregon City back in April and we had lunch here. The place had really affordable prices and good food. We will definitely eat here again.

I'm with Ja...If I could rate it lower I would. We walked in and there was one other table occupied. the waitress was a little nasty when we wanted to sit at a bigger booth. As if there weren't any open.....The shrimp was greasy, the egg flower soup tasted like salt water with yellow food coloring. the bbq pork tasted old, and the chow mein was like someone poured a salt shaker over it and forgot they were pouring. don't get me wrong, we love salt, and are usually the first to pick up the salt shaker, but not tonight. I will never eat there again, nor would I recommend it to any one else. by the way, because the waitress was so nasty and the food so terrible, this is the first time in my life that I have ever NOT left a tip. Bottom line...Service bad, food bad.

This place is abysmal!! When we went, there was hardly anybody which should have been a red flag. The food wasn't just bland, it was ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!! I didn't even come close to finishing my meal and when I got home I had to brush my teeth to get the awful taste out of my mouth. I really have no idea how these guys stay in business. I would never, ever eat here again. Life's too short to eat food you already know is going to disappoint.

We just moved to Oregon City and needed something good to eat that didn't require the use of utensils and dishes that we hadn't managed to unpack yet. After doing a bit of research (yelp, anyone?), we found this place and decided - after a bit of hesitation - to try it. It can be scary business, trying new restaurants and Chinese food has the potential to be incredible or just down-right nasty. So, we took a deep breath and called in an order. The lady who answered the phone was very pleasant. Even better - the food was delicious. We ordered a range of things to try, and out of them all, the only thing I probably wouldn't order again was the potstickers. I guess I've gotten used to my former neighbors, but these seemed a bit pasty and I have NO idea what the meat in them was. HOWEVER. Having said that. The rest of the food was very, very good. I would happily order here again next time we're craving our Chinese fix (since I don't plan on moving again any time soon!)!

Well where do I start. My man an I stopped by one night to the lounge and had a great experience. The drinks were awesome and the jello shots were yummy. Months later we thought hey we have never tried the restaurant and wanted to take my brother out for some Chinese food. Terrible idea!! The waitress was as rude as could be and wouldn't make any changes to the dinners. We didn't care if we paid more. The food was horrible and I will never come back.

Sadly, the food was terrible. Had hoped the reviews were wrong. The fried rice was real bad and the food tasted like it was straight out of a package. Won't go back :(

I visited awhile back. Food was awful ! Ordering was a little complicated because it was hard to understand what she was asking. Long wait. We ordered multiple dishes and each one we tried was more disappointing then the last. We threw out almost entire order. Will not go again!

While it might have been "New" forty years ago, it is very old in the tooth today. The ceiling is dingy which complements the remaining decor, also dark, dingy and unattractive. There wasn't anything that was particularly offensive, sadly, there was nothing - and I mean NOTHING that was particularly attractive. I was lulled in by the yelp reviews - and wanting to try something new. I should have noticed how old they were. We were the second family to be seated there at 7:15 - should have been my first clue to get up and get out quickly. The service was mediocre - I had to get up to get my water refilled. The food matched the service. It didn't make anyone sick but it didn't give us any reason to want come back. Spicy food wasn't.... just slightly warm of bland. Keep on going - you can do much better. (I can recommend this one: Pine Garden Restaurant 2 which is a couple of miles down the road - 19360 Molalla Ave yelp.com/biz/pine-garden… )

Best Chinese food in Oregon city IMO. Not a very inviting place when you drive up, kinda looks like a bowling ally but great take out. Made fresh while I watched.

The food was horrible, very rude server, bad customer service. Also, my bill was $26 and they charged my card $32, definitely asking for a refund. Never Ever go here. Worst experience ever....

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
